The course
is designed for those who seek the recognition of an APMG certified
qualification, the AgilePM® Foundation certificate. Learners are likely to be
in or seeking employment as an Agile Project Manager in a corporate setting or
similar. The Foundation level certificate is the entry-level qualification
which demonstrates a level of knowledge and understanding of the DSDM agile
approach, the roles and responsibilities of agile team members and in
particular the broad range of work performed by the Agile Project Manager.
We give you the choice. The Pro level pack provides 6 months access to the training materials, a copy of the official handbook and one exam entrance fee. The Entry level pack provides limited time access to the training material (1 month) and does not include the exam fee. As you'd expect, the Ultimate pack includes everything - 12 months course access, exam registration, 1 x exam fee plus 1 x hour exam prep with an instructor via Zoom. In 2023 the exam cost is around $340.00 USD.
You don’t have to have practical experience or formal qualifications in business analysis. It would be helpful if you are familiar with projects and programs in a business environment, but this is not essential.
The accredited course and official exam draw on the content of the official handbook the Agile Project Management (AgilePM®) Handbook, published by the Agile Business Consortium. The handbook is intended for use as an aid to those undertaking the training. Accredited Professional learners receive a digital copy (PDF) of the handbook as part of the course enrolment fee. No additional reference materials are required. We recommend that students read the entire handbook as part of their approach to studying the subject. You may also choose to make notes. It is not necessary to read the entire handbook before commencing the course. Our course content includes cross references to corresponding section numbers in the official handbook.
No, it would be too difficult for you to readily access all the features of the course. The content makes much use of interactive links, rollovers and hotspots, which would be difficult to access using a phone.
Scrum is one of many approaches to the Agile method of project delivery. This qualification, developed by the Agile Business Consortium in conjunction with APMG, draws on the DSDM Agile method. The DSDM method combines product and project management disciplines.
No! We built the whole course so you can explore the breadth and depth of the content as you see fit. You can skim content you already know well and drill down for more details when you want to using interactivity such as rollovers, popups and mini-sites.
Learning modules are presented in a 16:9 (widescreen) format. There is no requirement to scroll for content. Most modules include an audio introduction or special comments - remarks you might typically hear from an instructor introducing the content.
The trouble with video content is that the learner has to adapt to the sequence and pace of the video, plus there's no easy way to index the content. Even worse are instances where a mediocre lesson has been recorded.

The time you take to complete the course is entirely up to you. It is a self-paced course and you are free to revisit any learning module as often as you wish.
Here are some ways of thinking about how long you might spend on the course:
There are around 65 modules of learning covered in the main parts of the course. So – if you spent, 10 minutes on each module, that would equate to 10.8 hours. To be safe - and to cover revision and reading - we'd double that figure to about 22 hours.
You could cover all the material over a couple of days, spread it over a few weeks, or like most, take your time and make a commitment to regular sessions of study over say three months. This course is designed so that you can suit yourself about how long you spend and how regularly you study. Decide what works best for you.

Ask away! The introductory unit of the course contains an ask a question form. You receive a personalised reply from a qualified instructor right to your e-mail account. Our Ultimate subscriptions also include one-hour of direct revision with an instructor.

Our emphasis is on you, the individual. This is a self-guided, self-paced course. Everything is organized to suit you and your schedule. The flip side to that is - we don't hound you to get busy and start studying or prompt you along the way.
You have to supply the motivation. If you need someone to prompt you to take action (we understand) this may not be for you.
